California Community Colleges Health & Wellness Program

As the technical assistance provider for the California Community College Student Mental Health Program (CCC SMHP) from 2012-15, we reached all 112 California community colleges. The goal of this program was to increase the capacity of the CCC system to plan, implement, and sustain effective student mental health systems, and to advance mental health collaborations with county services and the community at large.

We conducted more than 130 regional trainings with over 5,500 participants, and we worked with 96% of the CCCs to develop individualized TA plans. We created more than 60 resources and webinars in addition to the project website, which drew more than 40,000 unique visitors across more than 300,000 page views.

CCC SMHP was a partnership between the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO) and the Foundation for Community Colleges (FCCC), and was funded by the California Mental Health Service Authority (CalMHSA). Beginning in 2015, under Phase Two of the CalMHSA initiative, we have been awarded funds with Kognito Solutions to support the CCCO and FCCC in broadly disseminating an Each Mind Matters social marketing campaign.
